I have been working in the service industry for roughly 20 years now. Between waiting tables and being a cashier in a series of corporate chain retail operations, I have had to handle my fair share of adversity, whether it be between a customer, co-workers or management. The term I have come up with is the 360 degree plan, meaning you take adversity no matter where you turn, it is the nature of serving the general public for a living. I went to college believing the propaganda the Boomers crammed down our throats with the promise of having a meaningful life with having that post high school education. Instead here I am at the age of 36 and I am still waiting tables for a living, as depressing of a fact that is for me, I must say things took an interesting turn in 2021.
It was approaching the Spring of 2021 in the midst of a pandemic and a friend and I were discussing an incident in which I was horrendously wronged by a small local business. My friend introduced me to the Goetia Spirit known as President Botis. President Botis specializes in bringing deep secrets or feelings of one to light. Additionally he is known to bring out courage in times of need and turn foes into friends and even bring one back in touch with friends that contact has been lost with. My friend had employed President Botis in seeking out an apology from the local business in question, as their actions had lasting detrimental effects on myself. Neither me nor my friend had wished any negativity upon them, we just wanted the apology we were rightfully owed.
Once my friend had started working with President Botis, I had started contacting him myself and trying to build a relationship with him. I immediately felt his energy by reaching out to a friend that I haven’t spoken to in over 7 years and even calling his mom, who I haven’t spoken to in over 10 years, just spontaneously and on the spot. Through the above experiences, I made the decision to start wearing President Botis’ sigil, just so that I have a connection with him wherever I go, especially at the workplace where adversity is normally felt. Once I started wearing his sigil around my neck, I started noticing co workers coming to me for conflict resolution advice, and even my own conflicts being resolved both quickly and amicably. The one time I forgot to wear Botis’ sigil to work, I got into an argument with a coworker and I remember Botis giving me a message scolding me for not having him to handle the adversity and he promised to zap me of energy for the rest of the day (which he in fact did.) I slept the rest of that day in spite of feeling rested earlier in the day. This action was reassured to me to teach me not to take the help provided to me lightly and to remember the power these spirits have.
At my current place of work, I seem to be the problem resolution person. When working with Goetia Spirits, it almost seems like you become their pets and the way you behave as a magician, reflects on them. That fact goes even more so if you are displaying their sigil.
While President Botis was a great way to be introduced to the Goetia Spirits, this next one is owed great respect. He is owed so much respect that it is worth mentioning the fact that just because I am discussing him second, doesn’t make him any less important than President Botis, I am just introducing them in chronological order. King Paimon, (not Paimon, King Paimon) is another great spirit to have fighting in your corner. He is said to be a master at influencing the minds of those who are in a position of power over you (thus allowing you to be more persuasive when dealing with authority figures) while causing confusion in your enemies, possibly even making them like you. While this is one way in which he can help you, he is also one to learn from especially when it comes to music and witchcraft. When I was first getting acquainted with King Paimon, he preferred to distance himself from my place of employment, stating the environment was too toxic just judging the energy I was giving off from it. I must say though, that even from a distance, King Paimon’s presence can be felt, I would feel as if I became more in tune with things people wanted, even complete strangers. I never felt like I was being cocky about it either, more or less confidence and like I was even able to make people think they wanted something different than they originally wanted.
Although he was not able to actively be present with me in the workplace, I was able to take his teachings, and to a lesser degree even his energy into the workplace. Before I started working with Prince Ipos but after starting to work with King Paimon, I would notice a shift in my personality to where I felt like I knew everyone I would interact with, to the point of knowing what they wanted to drink and eat.
King Paimon seems to be more comfortable entering my new place of employment, I can wear his sigil and feel his presence, more so than I did at my old job. These spirits don’t ask a lot from us humans for their help, other than respecting their wishes and making the occasional offering and thanks.
The last of the 3 spirits I am currently working with is Prince Ipos. Ipos is known for giving the magician charisma, allowing their arguments to be heard and to be themselves without fear of what others think as well as making and keeping friends. When you work serving the public, it may not seem important or even like it is a goal to make friends with anyone besides your co-workers. You do however want to “charm” the people you are waiting on, as they ultimately decide how much money you make because they are the ones who tip you. A mistake people make when trying to wait tables is they get nervous and tend to come off as fake and it makes the customers uncomfortable. As soon as I started wearing my Ipos pendant, I felt like I was able to be myself when waiting tables. This came off in the form of being able to joke around, trying to make people laugh and trying to have fun instead of making it seem like a chore. Lastly, Ipos allows you to not be a “yes man” and stops customers from walking all over you and allow you to enforce company policies, while allowing you to bend the rules for customers you want to please.
This has just been my experience with the 3 spirits I have chosen to work with. I have detailed how each of them helps in their own way, but I feel it is only fair to discuss how working with all 3 of them together has completely changed the way that I wait on tables. As soon as I slip on my uniform and punch in and get to work, I feel like 3 different energies begin to take over me and depending on certain variables I feel as though I am left with being driven 20%-40% by Goetia Spirits and the rest by myself. Another point worth mentioning is to find balance when working with these spirits. My friend and I were considering working with more spirits to help better things in our lives and the ones we work with told us not to for our own safety. One time we invited a spirit into our home and it bought undesirable things alongside it, but our spirits helped us clean the place up.
My main hope in writing this is to get the message out there that working with these spirits has had a positive influence on my life. I personally prefer to wear pendants around my neck but you can buy rings with the sigils engraved on them and all sorts of other different kind of jewelry. Keeping their sigils on you as often as you can will strengthen your relationship with them and help to give them power. The 3 I have chosen to work with were great to start with for my needs and by no means intend to be my last ones. I strongly suggest starting with reading about some and seeing how working with them can benefit your life and then humbly requesting their appearance and asking them if they would like to work with you.
